A 70-year-old Bear Lake man was found dead at the scene after his ultra-light plane crashed near Mackenzie on Saturday.
The wreckage was found 10 to 15 kilometres north of the community about four hours after Mackenzie RCMP received a report in late morning of a small yellow plane with floats falling and out of control.
The man, whose name was not released, was the sole person on the two-seat home-built aircraft.
