A 20-year-old Prince George man is in custody following an armed robbery of an 1800-block 20th Avenue gas station on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect was arrested within a few minutes as Prince George RCMP general duty members as well as a dog and handler arrived on the scene at 1:30 p.m.
Aided by a description provided to the police, RCMP arrested the man near the corner of 20th Avenue and Redwood Street, about two blocks away.
The cash was immediately recovered and, with the help of the dog, a weapon was recovered nearby, RCMP said.
Police are recommending charges of robbery and uttering threats against the man, whose name was not released. He is scheduled to make a first appearance in court on Thursday.
