Lowe's will be holding a job fair over three days next week at the Pine Centre Mall as it looks to hire 130 permanent positions at its new store.

Available positions at the home improvement retailer range from department managers and sales specialists to night crew, cashiers, customer service associates, department associates and receiving clerks.

"There will even be a position for a Garden Centre Pro," the company said in a press release.

The openings are both full-time and part-time and in addition to the permanent positions, Lowe's is looking for people interested in five to 10 seasonal roles.

"We are excited to join the Prince George community and have a lot of great employment opportunities available," said Fred Pagotto, Lowe's Canada market director of B.C. stores.

"The new Lowe's will create many new jobs in Prince George and we are committed to filling as many positions as possible locally.

"We are looking for passionate people who are ready to help our customers love where they live, and achieve their project goals and dreams."

The store's management team will be onsite ready to accept applications and conduct on-the-spot interviews. In some instances, offers of employment will be made onsite to successful applicants.

The job fair runs this coming Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days, and on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a spot adjacent to Sears and across from Homework.
