Police have arrested one man and are trying to determine whether a shots-fired incident and an attack using bear-spray at a Prince George trailer park on Sunday night are related.

Lazare Francis Sampson, 23, is facing one count each of assault with a weapon, disguising with intent to commit a crime, resisting arrest and breaching probation.

He was apprehended at about 9:30 p.m. after RCMP saw two males put bandanas over their faces, knock on the door of home at the Lombardy Mobile Home Park in the VLA and spray the occupant.

Both fled on bikes and while one got away, Sampson was arrested, RCMP said.

Three hours earlier, RCMP responded to a call of shots fired and found a truck with damage consistent with being shot with a shotgun. No injuries have been reported.

A white Ford single cab pickup truck with a black canopy, believed to have been stolen earlier in the day from a Hammond Avenue home in Central Fort George, was seen leaving the scene before police were called.

"The Prince George RCMP are alive to the fact that these incidents occurred a short distance from one another and within a short period of time, however, at this time there is no evidence to support that they are associated," police said. "Both incidents are believed to be targeted."
