Local resident Christopher Iean Banks, 36, has been reported missing since Saturday, July 18.

Banks was heading out to Woodcock Lake Recreation Area southwest of Prince George at about 11 p.m. Saturday night to join in a celebration but never made it there.

When the report came in Sunday, July 19 at 11 p.m. that he was missing, police requested help from Emergency Management BC. The Prince George Search and Rescue Society, Nechako Valley Search & Rescue Society, Quesnel Search & Rescue Society and a search airplane were used to conduct ground and air searches throughout the day Monday.

There is no sign of Banks or his vehicle with licence plate AF342C.

This is out of character for Banks but police don't believe there is foul play involved.

Banks is described as a Caucasian male, 180 cm (5'11"), 66 kg (145 lbs), blue eyes with short brown hair.
