Kelly Clarkson cancels Dawson Creek show

Grammy award winner and former American Idol Kelly Clarkson announced today that she is cancelling the remainder of her U.K. and Canadian tour dates, including a stop in Dawson Creek Oct. 15, due to voice strain.

Grammy award winner and former American Idol Kelly Clarkson announced today that she is cancelling the remainder of her U.K. and Canadian tour dates, including a stop in Dawson Creek Oct. 15, due to voice strain.

The announcement comes on the heels of Clarkson cancelling the remainder of her U.S. tour dates in early September upon recommendation from her doctors.

"I am truly sorry I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates," the singer said. "I was looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the U.K. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible."

The Encana Events Centre said in a release that anyone who had purchased tickets with their credit card will be automatically refunded, while tickets purchased by debit or cash must be returned to the Tiger Box Office Plus to obtain a refund.

Only customers who originally paid in cash will be issued a cash refund.

Only the ticket price will be refunded while fees associated with the purchase may be retained.
