The Northern Women's Centre presents Inspiring Women Among Us, a mentoring event, featuring four women who will share their stories at the Prince George Library on Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend and the first 40 people through the door will get a door prize.

The four women include Pray Say La, a refugee from Myanmar, Melissa Knott, a First Nations woman, Shea Anker who is visually impaired and Alice Mphafi, a South African immigrant.

Each woman will discuss their successes that often surpassed their own expectations while recalling challenges they have been through.

The speakers will talk about how important mentors were in their lives as well as how they have mentored others.

After each has done a presentation, there will be time for an open discussion.
