Inspiring Women Among Us continues this weekend

The Inspiring Women Among Us event at UNBC continues this weekend, before wrapping up on Wednesday on the Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

University of Montana Bozeman professor Jamie McEvoy presented a talk, entitled More Equitable Climate Change Adaptation Strategies in a More-Than-Human World, at UNBC on Nov. 17 as part of the Inspiring Women Among Us event at UNBC.

The Inspiring Women Among Us event at UNBC continues this weekend, before wrapping up on Wednesday on the Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Friday features a panel discussion by the all-female council of the Saik'uz Nation on indigenous women in leadership.

Saturday the IWAU goes to Quesnel, before returning to Prince George on Sunday afternoon with the IWAU Art Cabaret at Omineca Art Space.

On Monday and Tuesday evening Andrea Mallett and Allison Haley present a reading of Queen, by playwright Madhuri Shekar, at the College of New Caledonia.

The event concludes on Wednesday with UNBC's Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women at the UNBC Winter Garden from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by an open house at the Northern Women's Centre from noon to 2 p.m.
