Woman threatened with pistol

A woman said she was threatened by an unknown male with what appeared to be a handgun early Thursday morning. The police got a report at about 3:15 a.m.

A woman said she was threatened by an unknown male with what appeared to be a handgun early Thursday morning.

The police got a report at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday that the suspect approached the victim on foot near the corner of Fifth Avenue and Ospika Boulevard, pulled out a hand gun and pointed it at the female.

She fled the area and called police.

Multiple officers responded, including a police service dog team. No suspect was located.

The suspect is described as a First Nations male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a black hat and a black hoodie.

Investigators are looking for the public's help in locating the person responsible for this serious criminal offence.
