Calling him an "opportunistic predator," a provincial court judge sentenced Joseph Robert Fowlie to 10 years in jail on Thursday for a March kidnapping and sexual assault of a 62 -year-old woman after knocking her vehicle off the road in the West Beaverly area.
A married father of two, Fowlie appeared slightly taken aback when judge Ron Tindale delivered the verdict while more than 60 people packed the courtroom behind him mostly in support of the victim, who's name cannot be published under a court-ordered ban.
