There will be more discussion before it's known whether the work from a forensic engineer hired by the lawyer for Lakeland Mills will be admitted as evidence into the inquiry for the deadly blast that leveled the operation's sawmill nearly three years ago.

Coroner Lisa Lapointe said the issue will be raised at the end of testimony today and, in the process, told the inquest she has looked at authorities over the weekend that suggest she has the power to waive client-solicitor privilege on the matter.

Meanwhile, counsel for the United Steelworkers has withdrawn from the inquest. USW lawyer John Rogers informed the inquest of the news prior to testimony beginning Monday morning but did not elaborate on why the move was made.
