A quick response by the RCMP has led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Edmonton man following the armed robbery of a gas station early Tuesday morning.
A masked suspect brandishing a handgun made off with a small amount of cash and lottery tickets from the 20th and Queensway location.
Called to the scene at 5:45 a.m., police arrested the man after cash, lottery tickets and a replica handgun matching descriptions given to RCMP were located in his vehicle during a stop.
The suspect's name was not released pending approval of charges. However, he remained in custody while the investigation continues, RCMP said.
