A documentary about one of the world's last truly intact temperate rainforests will be shown Thursday evening at the University of Northern British Columbia.

Primeval: Enter the Incomappleux follows an expedition of conservationists, biologists and wilderness explorers into the heart of B.C.'s Selkirk Mountains. It's home to 2,000-year-old trees and rare lichens and has grown continuously since the last ice age.

The event is hosted by the Valhalla Wilderness Society which is working to establish the Selkirk Mountain Caribou Park in the area. The proposal will preserve habitat vital to the Southern Mountain Caribou, according to the group.

The event will be held in room 7-212, 7 p.m. start.
