WorkSafeBC has slapped a contractor with a $7,500 fine for a safety violation at a Prince George worksite.
Vadym Nesenchuk of Black Diamond Contracting was issued the penalty on February 28 after a WorkSafeBC official saw a worker on an exterior deck without fall protection while installing siding on a two-storey house.
The worker was in view of a representative of the firm, the agency noted in a posting on the WorkSafeBC website.
The representative was uncooperative and refused to provide WorkSafeBC officers with information, the agency also noted.
