The Hindu festival of lights is coming to the College of New Caledonia, complete with fireworks and a family feast.
The Diwali Party is planned for Saturday at the Dana Mandi Banquet Hall in the Hart and is already sold out.
"Diwali is an occasion that gives us hope and teaches us that evil and darkness will not triumph over goodness and light. It is a time for forgiveness and looking beyond differences," said Kamaljot Chatha, a student organizer, in a statement.
The dinner, organized by the student union and the international education department, will also showcase local performances.
