The Ness Lake Bible Camp will once again bring in the new year with a polar bear dip.

Set for New Year's Day, check in starts at 2 p.m. at the Welcome Centre - the log building in the parking lot - followed by the costume judging at 2:30 p.m. in the gym.

(Costumes are optional but encouraged).

Then it's off to the lake for a quick plunge in some very chilly water.

The entry fee is $20 - it will be waived for anyone who raises more than $20 in pledges - and the first 50 entries will get a T-shirt at no cost.

Money raised from this event will go towards the camper sponsorship fund which makes camp possible for families who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Roughly $7,000 was raised during last year's dip.

Pledge forms and general information are available at www.nlbc.bc.ca.
