For the fourth year in a row, the College of New Caledonia is seeking scrub donations to help its students.

Since 2011, the annual scrub sale has raised money for CNC's Making a Difference bursary, which hands out $500 to needy students.

"It makes a huge difference in the lives of students and it gives health professionals a way to give back," said organizer and nursing instructor Nancy Esopenko in a statement. "The students are very grateful to those who help fund their education."

The organizers ask that the uniforms be "gently used." They must also be washed, in good shape and recyclable for others to use and the tops and bottoms will be resold for $5 each.

The scrub sale opens to the public on Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CNC Gathering Place.

The donated scrubs, tops and bottoms, will then be sold to students and the public for $5 each on October 29 at the CNC Gathering Place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Donations can be dropped off at the CNC library, Lakewood Dental, or the Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation office at the University Hospital of Northern BC until Oct. 28.
