Canadian National Railway has filed a small claims suit against four people for damage to one of its trains during a collision near Prince George.
The company is seeking $11,272.55 from Dewayne Wardrop, of Prince George, and three others, identified as John Doe 1, 2 and 3, alleging they were the drivers or passengers in a vehicle that failed to yield to a train at a crossing at Giscome on June 13, 2014.
The crossing was controlled by cross-bucks, flashing lights and a bell and the collision damaged a locomotive owned by CN, according to a notice of claim filed this week at the Prince George courthouse.
The defendants have not yet filed a response and the allegations have not yet been tested in court.
