Charge stayed against Fort St. James man

A charge of break and enter against a Fort St. James man in relation to a theft that led to a wild chase through Prince George streets has been stayed.

A charge of break and enter against a Fort St. James man in relation to a theft that led to a wild chase through Prince George streets has been stayed.

Devin Andrew Jacobs, 32, had faced the charge after he and two others were arrested in July 2016 when RCMP were called to an incident at a Cowart Road home.

In October 2016, Adam Kelly McGowan, 37, was sentenced to a further six months in jail and 18 months probation for ramming an RCMP vehicle and taking a winding route through the Bowl area in an attempt to evade police despite a blown tire causing sparks to fly off the rim.

Maddison Irene Joyce Calder, 20, of Prince George.

After 47 days in custody, Calder was sentenced to jail time served on the matter in September 2016.

Jacobs had been out on bail since October 2016.
