Three local small businesses have been nominated for a 2015 Small Business B.C. Award.
Nancy O's Restaurant has been nominated for Best Community Impact, and both Simply Inspired Events and Decor and Topaz Bead Gallery have been nominated for Premier's People's Choice.
Nominations and voting are open until Nov. 30.
Businesses can be entered by a third party or nominate themselves into one of 10 categories in the contest. Nominated companies then need to get as many online votes as possible to reach the top 10.
The top10 then submit an extended application to narrow down the competition.
The top five in each category then face a panel of judges to convince them as to why they should get top spot.
Winners will get the Premier's Prize of $1,500 cash, a one-year, all-access pass to Small Business BC education and resources, and one-on-one business mentorship opportunities with notable advisors from the award sponsors.
The public is encouraged to nominate and vote for their favourite small businesses until Nov. 30 by visiting www.sbbcawards.ca.
