Police are on the lookout for two suspects who made off with a toy car from a Westgate area store and bear sprayed one of the employees in the process.

The suspects are described as:

- A clean shaven Caucasian man, 20-25 years old, 173 cm (5'8") tall with an athletic build and wearing a black hoodie with white lettering and black pants with white lettering.

- A First Nations female, 170 cm (5'7") tall and weighing 45 kg (100 lbs) and wearing a black coat, black hoody and carrying a large tan or brown purse.

Police were told the two were attempting to leave the Southridge Avenue outlet of a major retail chain with an remote controlled car, worth about $100. They failed to show a receipt and when staff confronted them, the man pulled out a canister of bear mace and sprayed it at an employee twice, hitting him once.

They got into the rear seats of a grey, newer-model Chrysler 300 or Sebring, RCMP said.

The incident occurred on Friday, Feb. 3 and images of the two from security cameras were made public Monday.

Anyone with information on the two is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
