Two people are in custody after a Quesnel home went up in flames Thursday evening.

Angeline Louise Hammerstrom, 37, of Prince George and Kerri Leigh Doherty, 31, of Quesnel have been charged with one count each of arson in relation to inhabited property, arson damaging property and break and enter with intent to commit offence.

RCMP said the two were arrested shortly after police arrived on the scene.

The West Fraser Road home was totally destroyed while its occupants escaped without injury.

"Police believe this was a targeted attack," RCMP said.

Both Hammerstrom and Doherty are known to police and the courts.

Hammerstrom was last in the news in March when she was found not guilty of forcing another woman to pay off a drug debt by selling her sexual services. Doherty's criminal record includes one year in jail for possession for the purpose of trafficking, issued on 2006.
