Amilya Antonetti is coming back to Prince George.
The business guru, television personality and best-selling author was first here this past spring for a keynote speech, and now she is returning for a visit to deepen the conversation about entrepreneurial spirit and best business practices.
Her presentation is called 6 Keys to Success in Business, Finance and Life and is the first in the Power Lunch Series by Citizen Special Events.
"She has built a dozen multi-million-dollar companies and is known for her business turnaround and brand extension skills across several industries," said CSE spokesman Norm Coyne.
Her first visit started a domino effect in Prince George's favour, said Coyne, which is why she is coming back so soon.
"When she first came to town, she actually chose five women from the audience to personally mentor," said Coyne. "She has been working with them since then, by phone calls, emails, online, they get homework, they do growth exercises, and part of the reason Amilya is coming back so soon is to meet with these five people personally again."
She also wants to reach an audience with a higher male ratio.
Antonetti is a business consultant to the heads of Fortune 500 corporations, celebrities, and heads of government. She is the official "voice of small business" on the Fox Business television show. She was thrilled to see so many women in Prince George business, at her first visit, but her assumption is many P.G. businesses also have men on the management and employment roster.
Her insights are applicable to businesses, no matter whose name is on the corner office door.
