One man is in custody following a collision between the car he was driving and an RCMP vehicle Thursday afternoon at Fifth and Central.
The man had tried to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended.
"The officer (who was in the RCMP vehicle) seems fine because he was the one that got out and chased and caught him," Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said.
The incident, which occurred at about 3 p.m., began when police suspected the man of being a prohibited driver and driving a vehicle with stolen licence plates.
"We were attempting to pull him over and he initiated contact with us," Douglass said. The suspect's name was not released Thursday.
