Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a man who failed to appear this week for a trial related to the recovery of a semi-automatic rifle, two live pipe bombs and bomb building materials from an 1100-block Ahbau Street home in November.

A warrant for the arrest of Dustin Jeffrey Olson, 24, was subsequently issued.

He is described as Caucasian, 183 cm (6'0") tall and weighing 95 kg (210 lbs) with blond hair and blue eyes and with a tattoo on his right hand. Olson is considered violent and should not be approached, RCMP warned.

Olson and Meranda Leigh Dingwall, 23, both face seven charges from the incident, which saw an entire block of Ahbau closed for about 2 1/2 hours as police executed a search warrant on the home.

Both were subsequently released on bail but Dingwall was arrested once again in July, along with two others, following an alleged drive-by shooting in Mackenzie. Dingwall faces a count of attempted murder as do Kelly Michael Richet, 31, and Christopher Ryan Russell, 29, and all remain in custody.

Olson also faces 10 counts of breach of an undertaking or recognizance and one count of obstructing a peace officer from alleged incidents while out on bail.

"During the last interaction with police, he provided a false name and was driving a white Ford F-150 pick-up bearing BC licence plates FA1879," RCMP said.

The trial for Olson and Dingwall, which was to begin Wednesday, has been put on hold.

Anyone with information on where Olson may be is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be provided online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca, or by texting CRIMES using keyword “pgtips.”
