Construction of 25,000-square-foot cargo warehouse at the Prince George Airport is now complete.
The $5.5 million project, which began in the spring, was finished on time and on budget, the Prince George Airport Authority said Thursday.
Rosenau Transport is the warehouse's first tenant. The trucking agency moved in earlier this week and is occupying 60 per cent of the space.
“We are excited to be operating out of such a fantastic building," Rosenau spokesman Terry Rhode said. "This will provide us the ability to expand our operation while servicing our customers more effectively.”
The facility is located at the north end of the main runway off Boeing Road. It features 11 truck dock doors, three overhead doors serving air cargo requirements and one ramp accessible door.
