A year after introducing the service, Pacific Coastal Airlines will soon offer twice-daily flights to Victoria during the work week.

Starting Mon., Jan. 18, flights bound for the city will depart from Prince George at 12:30 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. on weekdays, as well as at 3:30 p.m. on Sundays.

When the service first began operating in mid-January 2015, it was on a once-a-day, six-day-a-week basis.

"Victoria has been a great route for us", said Pacific Coastal's northern business development manager Susan Clarke.

"We offer the only non-stop service, and travelers really appreciate our passenger-friendly policies and 50-pound free baggage allowance.

"Expanding from one to two flights on weekdays will allow us to better meet the needs of Prince George market."

The flying time to Victoria is 100 minutes on either a Saab 340A and Saab 340B aircraft.

Flights can be booked at www.pacificcoastal.com or through travel agents.
