Police are treating as suspicious a series of fires that destroyed nearly half the buildings in Lamming Mills, an abandoned townsite roughly 10 kilometres west of McBride.
Enough fires to level 21 of the townsite's 52 buildings were set over a two-hour period on June 12, just two days after the remaining occupants were evicted from the site by the property's new owners, said McBride RCMP Cpl. Barry Kennedy.
