Holy frack, Genie Award-winning Battlestar Galactica star Michael Hogan is coming to Northern FanCon.
Hogan is arguably best known for his role as the surly Col. Saul Tigh on the successful mid-2000s reboot of Battlestar Galatica.
Before signing on as the Galactica's executive officer, the Ontario-born Hogan studied at the National Theatre School of Canada. He made his big-screen debut in 1978's High-Ballin' with Peter Fonda and spent three season on Cold Squad in the late 1990s.
He picked up a best performance by an actor in a supporting role Genie in 1992 for his role in Solitaire.
Hogan has solid sci-fi cred, having also appeared in Teen Wolf, Millennium, The Outer Limits and Warehouse 13, Supernatural, Smallville, Dollhouse and Andromeda.
Hogan is also the voice behind Gen. Tullius in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Commander Armando Bailey in the Mass Effect franchise.
The inaugural Northern FanCon runs May 8-10, 2015 at CN Centre as a collaboration between Citizen Special Events and the B.C. Northern Exhibition.
