The children of Shakespeare whip up a gale of classic summer drama today.

Under the direction of Melissa Glover, a cast of local youth will unleash their version of The Tempest as the grand finale to their Bard In the Yard theatrical development program.

The show stars Kael Buryn as Prospero, Victoria Van Delft as Ariel, Eli Broderick as Caliban, Colby Payne as Miranda, Kirsten Kitt as Ferdinand, Margaret Klassen as Stephano, Mya Little as Trinculo, Alyssa Hartford as Alonso, Kyra Marks as Gonzalo, Anna Little as Antonio and Brenna Jacobson as Sebastian.

There are two showtimes to choose from. The first performance is two o'clock this afternoon and the encore presentation is 7 p.m. Both are at St. Michael's Anglican Church (1505 5th Avenue) and admission is by donation.
