Vanier Hall will once again be flying the red and green flag of Canadian comedy.

Red Green is one of the most enduring and internationally applauded comedians Canada has ever produced. As a standup performer, a sketch comedian, the star of a sitcom, and the author of books, Red Green has continually delighted audiences for decades.

Green, played by comedian Steve Smith, has made the phrase "keep your stick on the ice" into a national motto, and inducted duct tape into the handyman's hall of fame. He walks the line between befuddled buffoon and savvy smartypants, depending on the absurd situation.

He is the font of wisdom who opined gems like:

"Remember you may have to grow old, but you don't have to mature."

"How do you improve your gas mileage on a long trip? Don't go!"

"You may be quick on your feet, but you can't outrun even the smallest explosion."

Green has penciled Prince George into his latest plans. He will be at Vanier Hall on Sept. 22 for the I'm Not Old, I'm Ripe tour of North America.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at CN Centre Box Office or online via the Ticketmaster website.
