Go for Green Week

Until Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at REAPS Compost Demonstration Garden, 1950 Gorse St., celebrate Go for Green Week with REAPS offering free daily recycle crafts for kids. On Saturday there is a free Backyard Composting Workshop at 2 p.m. and Vermicomposting Workshop at 3:15 p.m. All ages and skill levels welcome.

Lego Time

Raine Hamilton

Thursday from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, 1116 Sixth Ave.,

Punk Rock at the Legion

Friday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, 1116 Sixth Ave., come enjoy an evening of punk rock featuring Far From First, Wild Hearses, Handlebars and Sober Becky. Cost at the door is $10.

Witch Folk project

Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Montreal-based witch-folk project, Ghostly Hounds, combines strings, horns and powerful vocals to create a dark, jazzy sound. Ghostly Hounds will be joined by local musicians Britt AM and Sean Wesley Wood. Cost at the door is $10.

Kids Carnival

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Huble Homestead Historic Site, located 40 km north of Prince George, is holding this annual event for the young and the young at heart. Enjoy free magic shows with Huggleberry the Clown, use the colourful parachute or join in a sack race, and try your hand at different carnival games. In the morning, Costumes for a Cause mascots will be on site to welcome you to the event. Stop by the Two Rivers Art Gallery tent to make a craft, enjoy a story in the Prince George Library's storytelling cabin, or get your face painted. The Shire of Cold Keep will be on hand for the kiddos. Watch demonstrations, help make ice cream the old-fashioned way, and dress up in costumes located in our Kids Corner. Bring a lunch, or buy one from the barbecue, then stock up on your favourite old-fashioned candies. Admission is by suggested family donation of $10. Breast Cancer Support Group

Every first and third Tuesday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Michael's Anglican Church, 1505 Fifth Ave. Informal conversations about individual breast cancer journeys and experiences from diagnosis through treatment to life after breast cancer. Offering emotional support, encouragement, and a listening ear. Talk with women who have 'been there, done that' and help each other move forward one day at a time. Every community experiences death by suicide. When an intentionally self-inflicted death occurs families and friends suffer a magnitude of isolated, complicated grief. Beginners Yoga 101
