It's all about collusion

Why are we paying so much for gas in Prince George? & why is that every station changes their prices within hours of each other?

The price per barrel oil light sweet crude has been down lower than May’s price of ~$125 since the latter part of July when the price hit a high of over $145, yet the price per litre has not really dropped, we were paying ~$1.40. Last week the price per litre actually went up 2 cents in anticipation of the hurricane thought to hit the gulf on Monday. The actual trading price today was $107.46.
My question is why has the price not dropped since July but goes up on the chance that something might happen in the gulf?? Perhaps the following definition may get you thinking about how the businesses in Prince George are taking advantage of their customers and don’t even feel guilty about it.

Hmmm, wait till winter hits. I think we should go after Terasen, myself--and the BC Lie-berals for approving the uneven increases throughout the province.

I agree, thought, that folks are getting robbed at the pumps. And who, among us, will reap any of the benefits? Anyone here able to afford those outrageous 2010 ticket prices? I sure as the hell couldn't if I wanted to.

Both home heating fuel and gasoline prices will remain high as long as that stupid Carbon Tax is in existence. Big Gord has pretty much given the oil companies and Terasen carte blanche access to our wallets because he's gaining, too.

Time to get rid of that sleazebag and his cronies. - allniter

Don't know about a class-action suit, but gas prices in BC are out of line. Period.

May I remind everyone here who is hosting the Olympics in 2010? How do you think the arenas, roads and all that other crap is getting paid for? For those who say that the price of gas has nothing to do with the Olympics, may I then challenge those by asking, "what do you think Carbon Tax is really for?" If you answer me by saying the environment, I will feel very sorry for you because if you haven't noticed, the environment was never a great concern for this province before with our garbage surplus down south with lacking recycling facilities so really, what's the change? Vancouver 2010, plain and simple. - WillowRose

If you think the prices are high here, go to Saskatchewan Crossing and buy some gas! Then, tell us how grateful you are to live in Prince George. Molly - mollymare
