Kids3, that is a very good question and anyone buying a dog from a pet shop should ask that question. A reputable breeder would leave contact information. I am a breeder and anyone showing up about buying a dog of mine is interviewed carefully. It's not first come, first served and I have had some very angry people leave my place because I refused to sell them a puppy. Thankfully, my dogs are almost exclusively sold to friends of people who have one of my dogs. I hate pet shops selling puppies as anyone with the money in his pocket can buy one and I think many pet shop purchases are impulse buys. Getting a dog should be a well thought out, researched purchase as it is (or should be) a long term commitment. - travhops

Reading letters like these from a group of kids gives me a hope that a generation of adults with empathy towards animals will come out of it. Got my fingers crossed. These kids RULE! - allniter
