Noel C. Sale (1918-2008) of Surrey, BC, gone to his rest. "Big Daddy" of the Sale clan, Noel leaves eleven children - Dereck (Birgitta) of PG, thirty grandchildren - Greg (Leanne), and forty great-grandchildren - Cameron and Joshua of PG, as well as brother George and sisters Tiny, Margie and Peggy of Vancouver. Born in Jamaica where he was prominent for many years as a Chartered Accountant practitioner, entrepreneur and industrialist, Noel had interests as diverse as miniature woodworking, deep sea fishing, and international rally car driving. A Catholic, he was active in Church affairs, president of Serra Club of Kingston, and after retiring to BC in 1973, Lecturer and Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Predeceased in 2003 by his beloved wife, Gertrude (nee Williamson) - family matriarch for sixty three years, with whom he is now reunited, Noel was mentor and behind-the-scenes corner stone of a vast network of descendants, in-laws and friends, many of whom he and Gertrude had inspired to follow them to BC in the 1970's. He leaves a powerful legacy of a long life lived and loved.
