BlackBerry (TSX:BB). Wireless technology. Up $1.98, or 15.22 per cent, at $14.99 on 10,890,299 shares. Bernstein Research upgraded the stock to outperform and raised the share price target to US$22 from $12 on the day the smartphone pioneer traded under its new ticker. The stock helped push the information technology sector to become the leading advancer ahead of the launch of its touchscreen phone, the BlackBerry Z10, on Tuesday.
TORC Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSX:TOG). Oil and gas. Down 12 cents, or 5.50 per cent, at $2.06 on 9,273,341 shares.
Northland Resources S.A. (TSX:NAU). Mineral explorer. Unchanged at 17 cents on 4,639,766 shares.
Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down four cents, or one per cent, at $3.95 on 3,735,556 shares.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Down six cents, or 0.42 per cent, at $14.38 on 3,033,750 shares.
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Down 21 cents, or 0.69 per cent, at $30.06 on 2,310,884 shares.
TSX Venture Exchange (1,216.50 down 12.16 points):
Encanto Potash Corp. (TSXV:EPO). Potash explorer. Up 2.5 cents, or 10.42 per cent, at 26.5 cents on 9,683,009 shares. The Vancouver-based company announced that a pre-feasibility study at its Muskowekwan property in Saskatchewan showed "significant positive economics and the resource is of sufficient size as well as grade to support primary and secondary mining for over 50 years."
Oceanic Iron Ore Corp. (TSXV:FEO). Iron ore explorer. Down a penny, or 5.3 per cent, at 18.5 cents on 8,170,787 shares.

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. (TSX:CP). Railroad. Down $2.24, or 1.93 per cent, at $113.54 on 489,457 shares. The No. 2 railroad company hired Keith Creel, a senior executive of rival Canadian National Railway (TSX:CNR), to be the president and chief operating officer and potential successor to CEO Hunter Harrison. CN shares fell 55 cents, or 0.57 per cent, at $95.15 on 593,939 shares.
Dundee International REIT (TSX:DI.UN). Office properties. Down six cents, or 0.53 per cent, at $11.33 on 50,372 shares. The Toronto-based company is buying a 1.5-million-square-foot portfolio of office properties in Germany for $568 million.
Stem Cell Therapeutics Corp. (TSXV:SSS). Life science. Down half a cent, or 14.29 per cent, at three cents on 65,881 shares. The company will acquire Trillium Therapeutics Inc. to focus on treating cancer with stem cell technologies. Under terms of the deal, Trillium's security holders are to receive $1.2 million in cash and shares in the new company — also to be called Stem Cell Therapeutics — valued at $1.65 million.
