    Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

    TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

    Toronto Stock Exchange (11,521.18, up 6.65 points):

    Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurance. Down 16 cents, or 1.47 per cent, at $10.72 on 6,567,251 shares.

    Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down six cents, or 0.71 per cent, at $8.45 on 6,036,648 shares.

    Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down two cents, or 0.51 per cent, at $3.89 on 5,851,657 shares.

    La Mancha Resources Inc. (TSX:LMA). Down one cent, or 0.29 per cent, at $3.42 on 5,126,436 shares.

    Eastern Platinum Ltd. (TSX:ELR). Miner. Unchanged at 24 cents on 4,688,700 shares.

    Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT). Grain handler. Down two cents, or 0.12 per cent, at $16.10 on 4,264,009 shares.

    TSX Venture Exchange (1,183.35 down 3.60 points):

    CGX Energy Inc. (TSXV:OYL). Oil and gas. Down 13 cents, or 30.23 per cent, at 30 cents on 15,884,822 shares.

    WesternZagros Resources Ltd. (TSXV:WZR). Oil and gas. Unchanged at $1.13 on 4,180,764 shares.

    Companies reporting major news:

    Tim Hortons Inc. (TSX:THI). Coffee chain. Down $1.15, or 2.14 per cent, at $52.53 on 384,993 shares. Tim Hortons has been downgraded to a "sell" rating at Goldman Sachs over concerns that moderation in same-store sales could be harbinger of more pressure in the hyper-competitive coffee market. A note from analyst Michael Kelter at the Wall Street investment firm says he is concerned about early indications of "impending Canadian saturation" that could reflect increased pressure.

    Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Consumer technology. Down 26 cents, or 3.54 per cent, at $7.09 on 1,704,905 shares. Shares in RIM were down nearly three and a half per cent on Monday afternoon as investors reacted to a court ruling against the BlackBerry maker in the United States.
