Tim Hortons Inc. (TSX:THI). Coffee chain. Down $1.15, or 2.14 per cent, at $52.53 on 384,993 shares. Tim Hortons has been downgraded to a "sell" rating at Goldman Sachs over concerns that moderation in same-store sales could be harbinger of more pressure in the hyper-competitive coffee market. A note from analyst Michael Kelter at the Wall Street investment firm says he is concerned about early indications of "impending Canadian saturation" that could reflect increased pressure.
Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Consumer technology. Down 26 cents, or 3.54 per cent, at $7.09 on 1,704,905 shares. Shares in RIM were down nearly three and a half per cent on Monday afternoon as investors reacted to a court ruling against the BlackBerry maker in the United States.
