With the event just two months away, organizers have issued a call for people to register for the CIBC Run for the Cure.
Last year, we had 455 participants who raised $108,602, Prince George co-run director Renee McCloskey said.
Theres still plenty of time do fundraising on your own or with your team. Every bit counts to help fund innovative research, education and awareness programs for breast cancer.
Set for Oct. 6, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Prince George Civic Centre, the event consists of a five-kilometre or one-kilometre walk or run and, according to organizers, it is the largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.

Volunteers will also be handing out information at the Prince George Farmers Market on Sept. 14.
