Prince George RCMP have issued a second warning about a powerful narcotic that may have been sold as heroin after the B.C. Coroners Service confirmed Friday that it was the cause of two deaths in the city.
Lab tests showed the two males died after taking Fentanyl. One died in November 2012 and the other in April. Both were known to use heroin and the Fentanyl was seized by police as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
Although similar in appearance, Fentanyl is "much stronger than heroin," police have said.
