Fish tome available

One of the books fishers look forward to most is now available. The 2013 Fishing Regulations Synopsis was released Monday, first online and coming soon in hardcopy form at Service BC centres and local angling license vendors throughout the province.

The Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis is published every two years. The synopsis is the go-to sourcebook for anglers in the province. It covers all non-salmon (salmon is covered by other regulations) sport fishing in the freshwater locations of B.C.

The new edition of the Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis is available now at: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/fish/regulations/.

For the first time, the cover of the book is provided by a resident of B.C. based on a province-wide photo contest. Rob deLange's photo depicts canoe angling on Cowichan Lake.

A second contest is still underway for the cover of the 2014-2016 Hunting and Trapping Synopsis. Photographs must be emailed to synopsiscoverph...@gov.bc.ca by Oct. 1, 2013, for the Hunting and Trapping Synopsis in order to be considered.
