Relay for Life rally set for Monday

The Prince George Relay For Life cancer fundraising walk is just two months away.

To raise awareness of the 24-hour Canadian Cancer Society event, the organizing committee is inviting everyone to check out the Relay for Life team rally on Monday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the society's new regional office at the Kordyban Cancer Lodge at 1100 Alward St.

For every $500 a relay participant raises for the 21st annual relay, May 11-12, that person will receive a ticket in the draw for a 2013 Dodge Dart donated by Northland Chrysler Jeep Dodge.

Last year's Prince George relay raised $494,000, second only to Coquitlam among the 501 relays staged in cities across Canada.
