Pipeline offers economic opportunity

I almost am unable to believe it! We finally are able to read a letter to the editor that is filled

with knowledge and makes absolute sense.

I am referring to the letter by Svend Serup of Feb 19th regarding oil, gas, tankers moving

through narrow fjords and pipelines crossing two mountain ranges and many streams and

rivers and not having encountered problems damaging the environment or tourism or fishing

Industries anywhere in the world.

I agree with the statements in that letter to the editor and suggest residents of B.C. truly need to

view the proposed oil and gas pipelines and the oil tankers in a positive light.

Our children and grandchildren deserve to have the potential of being In a position of living In a

province that could likely become Income tax free or sales tax free or fee for service free or all

of these; simply owing to the huge revenues our great province could gain through projects

such as these. We have the opportunity, let us not allow it to slip away simply because some

individuals have little to do but fear monger us. We need to seize our opportunities when they

arise in life.

Think, for a moment, the Increased social programs we all could benefit from as a result of such

development. Let us not be complete fools and idiots as the negative feedback we frequently

hear on these projects could well have some alternative sinister motive behind them.
