Motley Crue making another stop in P.G.

Heavy metal greats Motley Crue will be making a stop in Prince George this spring.

Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee will perform at CN Centre on April 25 as part of a 18-stop Canadian tour by the band made famous with their 1989 hit single Dr. Feelgood.

The group has been together in various forms for more than three decades and released their ninth album Saints of Los Angeles in 2008. They released their latest single, Sex, last summer.

The band has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and have been nominated for three Grammy awards.

Motley Crue's memoir, titled The Dirt, is being made into a motion picture, according to a news release from the concert promoter.

Joining Motley Crue on tour is hard rock band Big Wreck, who reunited three years ago after eight years apart.

The tour begins in Penticton on April 20 and other B.C. stops include Victoria, Abbotsford and Dawson Creek.
