The D.P. Todd Trojans are the top junior A boys' basketball team in the district after a 70-48 win over the Prince George secondary Polars in the gold-medal final at the championship hosted Saturday at D.P. Todd school.

Hayden Molcak led the Trojans with 31 points while Tyrel Laing put up 24 for the Polars.

In the third-place the Kelly Road Roadrunners defeated the College Heights Cougars 49-30. The Duchess Park Condors placed fifth.

The top four teams head to Vanderhoof this weekend to participate in the zone championship with the winner gaining a berth at the provincial championship.
