Love is in the air - and so is a bridal show

What better day to think about a wedding than Valentine's Day?

Get your tickets today for the Sweetheart Bridal Show, an event that's bigger than ever with more than 70 exhibitors on hand, and it takes place Feb. 24 at the Prince George Civic Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

One of the many highlights of the show is the free workshops that will answer many of your wedding questions.

To plan the perfect destination wedding and honeymoon, Thomas Cook Travel will offer plenty of advice on trouble-free occasions at 10:30 a.m.

Cake decorating how-tos will be presented by Del McKinnon from Michael's Arts & Crafts to go over all the little details that will take the cake.

Custom wedding invitations, save the dates and all things print for the perfect wedding is presented by Julie Harder from Jules Publishing.

To go along with the free workshops are many amazing prizes, including a week-long stay in an oceanview condo in Kaanapali, Maui, custom-designed wedding bands, an Alaskan cruise for two, your choice of a trip to Las Vegas, Hawaii or Cancun, two nights accommodation plus breakfast and spa package at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, TruSculpt non-invasive body contouring treatment, and his and hers luggage.

Tickets are on sale at Image in White Wedding Gallery, 1594 Third Ave., Ken’s Goldsmithing in Pine Centre Mall, at the Prince George Citizen, 150 Brunswick St., Gallery Bridal Boutique at 1677 Seventh Ave., the Ramada Hotel Downtown at 444 George St., and online at www.ticketweb.ca.

The show also features its own full colour glossy magazine and a new website has been created that will be running 365 days a year and has updated wedding stories and resources daily at sweetheartbridal.ca.
