Police fired one shot but no one was injured during an altercation Tuesday with a man who allegedly armed himself with a rifle when RCMP pulled him over near Tete Jaune Cache, says North District RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith.
The man approached the police officer with the rifle, Smith said, but two RCMP officers eventually wrestled the man to the ground and he was taken into custody and then transported to McBride Hospital for a medical assessment, Smith said.
"The investigation into this matter is ongoing" Smith said.
