If it is possible (which I doubt) I would like to see the oil companies or gas station owners give a rational explanation for the latest round of gas prices that does not insult the intelligence of the motoring public.

It started Wednesday with a couple of Petrocan stations hiking prices to 1.199 cents/litre, with most other stations remained at 1.147 cents/litre. While driving around town on Thursday we noticed that most stations were at 1.147 cents/litre. On Friday morning at 8 a.m., the price per litre at the Esso at Handlen Road and the Hart Highway had jumped to 1.209 cents/litre. Driving into town, some stations were still at 1.147 while others were at 1.209. Two hours later at 10 a.m., all stations I passed were either 1.209 cents/litre or 1.249 cents/litre. How can you justify a 10 cents/litre jump in price that fast?

They can't, it's that simple. Checking gas prices around the province, as of 3:45 p.m. Friday, the lowest price for reg. unleaded was in Duncan on Vancouver Island at 1.089 cents/litre, although prices are going up there to but not as drastic as here as of now. Maybe it's time we got organized and start to take action. Remember the old saying: "the squeaky wheel gets the grease."
