Prince George had three unofficial first-place finishes at the B.C. Snowboard provincial series snow cross event held at Tabor Mountain on the weekend.

Cole Patterson stepped on top of the podium in the male 12 and under category, while Tor Green was the winner in the male 15-18 group and Tyson Wall took the top honour against males 19 and over.

Other winners included, Mackenzie's Evan Bichon (male 13-14) and Megan Walbauer (female 14 and under), West Bank's Sara Tronson (female 19 and over) and Mackenzie's Bill Laing (mixed 30 plus).

In the male 12-and-under category it was a Prince George sweep as Jon Anderson, 10, and Colby Graham, 11, finished behind Patterson, 11, in second and third place respectively.

After Bichon in the male 13-14 group, it was Dapp, Alta., boarder Levi Foster, 13, and Dawson Ellery, 13. For female 14 and under, eight-year-old Kaitlyn Peterson, of Smithers, finished second and 14-year-old Tanesha Lowley, of Prince George, was third.

Meryata O'Dine placed second competing against the boys in the male 15-18 category while her fellow Prince George competitor Josh Bleackley was third.

Behind the 24-year-old Wall in the male 19 and over group were Prince George boarders Cole Chisan, 27, and Colby Burns, 25. Following Torson in the female 19 and over group was her West Bank teammate Hailey Causton and Prince George's Heidi Burri.

In the mixed 30 and over category, Jason Krauskops of Smithers was second to Laing and Chris Giesbrecht of Prince George was third.

Official results should be posted on the BC Snowboard Association website during the next two days. The web address is located at www.bcsnowboard.com.

The snowboard competition was a test event for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
