Three vehicle collision sends one to hospital

At approximately 2:45 pm Monday emergency services responded to a report of a three vehicle collision east of the city.

Prince George RCMP General Duty and Traffic Services Sections attended the scene located approximately 30 kilometres east of Prince George on Highway 16. The collision involved a pick-up truck, a passenger car and a small sport utility vehicle. One person was transported by the BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC with what appeared to be serious injuries. Once assessed at the hospital, those injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

The highway has been reopened after several hours.

A North District RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
