Keep the OCP

Like many people who live in Prince George, I have been following the story about the possibility of a treatment centre being built in the Haldi Road area. Until today, I couldn't decide if I was in support or against locating the centre in that neighbourhood. The letter in the paper, written by Debora Munoz, offers some sound reasons for not altering the OCP on a piece by piece basis. The OCP was developed with input from many people. It is a document that is supposed to guide city development for some time. I have to agree with Ms Munoz, that to alter it for one project, opens up the possibility to open it again for another. Then, what does the OCP become?
